Connected Street Furniture in Collaboration with Escofet – Smart Label
At OKTICS, we are excited to announce the launch of an innovative test in partnership with Escofetwhere we have transformed street furniture into connected furniture. This initiative allows citizens to interact in different ways with urban benches, improving their experience in public space. We presented this test at the recent edition of the Greencities Forum, a leading event that brings together leaders in sustainability and urban innovation. During the event, Escofet showcased its latest innovations in street furniture, including the Gather and Tiers designs, created by Foster + Partners Industrial Design. In addition, we furnished the Green Plaza with products from the Slimconcrete and Air Collection lines, along with the Sisa benches, made from FSC pine wood.
The most exciting part of this collaboration is that all the furniture is connected to the digital world through our NFC technology, using the Smart Tags, the OKOTags. This allows citizens to access useful information about their surroundings, promoting interaction and enriching their experience in the urban space. We are proud to lead this move towards smarter and more connected cities, where street furniture not only beautifies our spaces, but also enriches the lives of citizens. This collaboration with Escofet is an important step towards a future where technology and design come together to transform our cities.
