Committed to the privacy of our users and in strict compliance with current European regulations (RGPD) in relation to data processing, has published this Privacy Policy document to inform visitors to our websites and platform, our customers, suppliers or distributors who we are, how we treat your personal information and for what purpose, and the rights you have in this regard.

This Privacy Policy document applies both to the various OKTICS websites (okobusiness.com, okotags.com) and to the OKO Cloud platform, mobile applications or channels through which we collect and process personal data of our users.

Information we collect when using our products and servers

  • Platform security: To ensure a safe and secure environment within the OKO Cloud platform we store the IP address. Covered under the GDPR regulation Legitimate Interest Article 6(1)f .
    • Data type: IP address
  • Storage of server logs: We store certain information in log files to prevent system attacks and for fraud/abuse prevention, incident management, forensic analysis and error investigation. Covered under GDPR regulation Legitimate Interest Article 6(1)f .
    • Data type: Date of access, device model, operating system, IP address.
  • Storing the log of readings from a Tag: In order to provide our service to our customers and to ensure that our products function correctly, i.e. that the information when interacting with a QR, NFC or RFID Tag is displayed correctly, we process the technical information from the devices that constitute the scan log. Covered under the GDPR regulation Execution of a contract Article 6(1)b .
    • Data types: Date of access, unique ID of the read, country and city, device model, operating system, location (GPS if authorized by the user), public IP of user access.
  1. With whom do we share your personal information?

OKTICS does not share, sell or exchange personal data of its users with third parties.
If you decide to share your data with third parties to improve the service provided, users will be warned, informed and must give their prior consent before such communication of personal data would come to occur.
The different trade names of OKO service in any case should not be considered as third parties, being all of them part of a single service offered by OKTICS.

  1. How long do we store your information?

The processing of personal data will continue as long as the user keeps his account active and as long as OKO continues to provide the service.
In the event that the user decides to unsubscribe from the service or revoke the consent given to us for the processing of personal data, we will proceed to delete all identifying data and images, videos and other customer files stored on our servers within a maximum period of 10 days from the date of request.

  1. What is the legal basis for data processing?

Based on consent
Our legitimacy is born with the express consent of the user to the processing of personal data that gives us by declaration at the time of registration of the OKO service, having access, prior to consent, to our Legal Basis for Data Processing.
This is an essential requirement, since if the user does not give express consent to the processing of their data the system does not allow the registration or the provision of the service by us. In the absence of registration, no personal data of the applicant is stored or processed.

Based on legitimate interest

As established by the personal data protection regulations, the processing of your personal data by the data controller or by a third party shall be lawful if it pursues a legitimate interest, provided that such interests do not override the fundamental rights, interests and freedoms of the data subject.
