Digitization of the Parque de los Olivos in San Martín de la Vega

We collaborated with GRUPO RAGA in the Rehabilitation and Digitalization of the Parque de los Olivos in San Martín de la Vega.

San Martín de la Vega celebrates an exciting milestone with the City Council’s approval of the ambitious Parque de los Olivos rehabilitation project. This charming green corner, strategically located between the streets Residencial Santa Elena and Andalucía, near the Ermita de San Cristóbal, will be transformed into a sustainable oasis, in tune with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Read on to see how OKO digitized the olive tree park in San Martín de la Vega.

The purpose of this initiative goes beyond the aesthetic restoration of the park; it is to create a recreational and walking space that reflects environmentally friendly practices. The focus is on the efficient use of resources such as water and energy, thus promoting a sustainable place that inspires the community to participate in the preservation of the environment.

This revitalization not only highlights the natural beauty of the park, but also seeks to raise environmental awareness. The commitment to sustainability is reflected in every aspect of the project, from the choice of materials to the landscape design, with the firm intention of educating and raising awareness among visitors to this renovated space.

The collaboration between the Municipality of San Martín de la Vega, Grupo Raga and OKTICS adds an innovative element to the project. This project has become a reality thanks to an investment of 549,944.54 euros co-financed by the Consistory and the Community of Madrid, under the Regional Investment Plan 2022-2026. The implementation of interactive poles along the route, equipped with OKTICS’ advanced OKOTags technology, offers a unique experience. These poles serve not only as information points, but also as digital portals that reveal the history of the ODS and the park’s plant diversity, thus creating an educational and participatory environment.

The interactive posts, thanks to OKOTags technology, will not only be visually appealing, but will also play a vital role in providing detailed information about the Sustainable Development Goals and the plant species present. This immersive experience ensures that visitors not only enjoy the surroundings, but also get involved in the importance of caring for our environment.

In conclusion, the approval of the Parque de los Olivos rehabilitation project in San Martín de la Vega not only marks an improvement in the appearance of the space, but also a move towards a more sustainable future. The collaboration between the San Martín de la Vega City Council and the community of Madrid, Raga Group y OKTICS highlights how technology can be an ally in the creation of green spaces that inspire and educate, carrying a clear message about the need to preserve our environment for future generations.
